On Wednesday, May 6th, the Senate Committee on Small Business and Entrepreneurship will hold a hearing to examine the impacts of federal labor & safety laws on small seafood operations.

The hearing will also discuss Chairman David Vitter’s (R-La.) legislation, the Imported Seafood Safety Standards Act, which increases inspection standards on imported seafood to ensure foreign exporters meet U.S. safety standards.
