U.S. Sen. David Vitter (R-La.), Chairman of the Small Business & Entrepreneurship Committee, today announced Mainstreet Self Storage of Shreveport, La. to be ‎Small Business of the Week and submitted it into the official Congressional Record.

“Northwest Louisiana is currently struggling with major flooding, which has driven families out of their homes and shut down small businesses,” said Vitter. “In response, Mainstreet Self Storage has stepped up to help those affected by offering free storage space for the next three months – truly a fine example of Louisiana’s ingenuity and generosity. We appreciate and recognize your generosity and commitment to aiding your neighbors in northwest Louisiana during these times of need.”

In May of 2009, the Delaney family opened a facility offering storage and moving solutions for Shreveport-Bossier City residents. The company offers climate controlled units, non-climate controlled units, car garages, covered RV storage, and open or closed boat and vehicle storage.

As Chairman of the Senate Committee on Small Business and Entrepreneurship, Vitter is continuing the tradition of honoring local small businesses.
