U.S. Sen. David Vitter (R-La.), Chairman of the Senate Committee on Small Business and Entrepreneurship, today announced Melanie Massey Physical Therapy of West Monroe, La. as Small Business of the Week, and will be submitting it into the official Congressional Record.

“Providing community members with hope during a difficult time is a noble act, and one that is greatly appreciated, especially when the focus is helping our children and the elderly,” said Vitter. “Melanie Massey and her physical therapy team exhibit a level of care and dedication that serves as an inspiration to all entrepreneurs. Congratulations to Melanie Massey Physical Therapy and her team for being recognized as this week’s Small Business of the Week.”

After graduating from Louisiana State University School of Allied Health Sciences in 1993 and a brief stint at the LSU Medical Center, Melanie Massey followed her passion and opened a physical therapy center helping both children and adults in West Monroe, La. Today, Massey’s practice has grown to employ a team of over 20 physical and speech therapists between four locations throughout north Louisiana.

As Chairman of the Small Business Committee, Vitter is continuing the tradition of honoring America’s small businesses.
