Today, U.S. Senator David Vitter (R-La.), Chairman of the Senate Committee on Small Business and Entrepreneurship (SBC), announced Bobby Johnson Equipment Company, Inc. of Oil City, La. as Small Business of the Week, and will be submitting it into the official Congressional Record.

“So much of Louisiana’s economy depends on successfully transporting goods in and out of our state, and as Louisiana small business owner Bobby Johnson learned over the last 43 years, one needs quality trucks to get it done,” said Vitter. “Mr. Johnson and his team have made it a priority to keep the Ark-La-Tex area working by providing reliable service and quality products to our region’s truckers, manufacturers, and farmers. It’s for their years of hard work and dedication that I congratulate the Bobby Johnson Equipment Company for being selected as Small Business of the Week.”

In 1973, Bobby Johnson opened his namesake equipment company in Oil City, La. with the goal of serving the tri-state Ark-La-Tex area with quality heavy equipment products and services. Today, the family-owned Bobby Johnson Equipment Company has grown into one of the area’s largest suppliers of new and used parts and services servicing the transportation, construction, and oil and natural gas industries.

As SBC Chairman, Vitter continues the tradition of honoring America’s small businesses.
