Today, U.S. Sen. David Vitter (R-La.), Chairman of the Senate Small Business and Entrepreneurship Committee (SBC), announced H20 Inc. from Lafayette, La. as Small Business of the Week, and will be submitting it into the Congressional Record.
“Offshore drilling in the Gulf of Mexico provides thousands of jobs and supplies the oil and gas we use every day, supporting families and businesses across the state, and one of the key issues facing the crews on those rigs is access to clean and safe potable water,” said Vitter. “H20 Inc. has spent over 30 years providing Louisiana’s offshore and marine industries with crucial water treatment solutions, and as a result have helped sustain hundreds of good-paying jobs for folks in Louisiana. Congratulations to H20 Inc. for being selected as Small Business of the Week.
Founded in 1980, H20 used its proximity to the Gulf of Mexico to provide desalination units to local offshore and gas companies. In the years since, they have expanded their services to include marine and offshore potable water, sewage, and electrochlorination systems, and today service a variety of industry markets worldwide.
As SBC Chairman, Vitter continues the tradition of honoring America’s small businesses and entrepreneurs.
