As part of National Small Business Week, U.S. Senator David Vitter (R-La.), Chairman of the Senate Committee on Small Business and Entrepreneurship (SBC), released the following statement recognizing Angela O’Byrne, President and Owner of Perez, APC who was selected to be 2016 Louisiana Small Business Person of the Year by the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA).

“National Small Business Week is a great opportunity to celebrate the huge successes and achievements of our nation’s entrepreneurs and job creators. Angela O’Byrne, President and Owner of Perez, APC is one of the many inspiring small business owners in Louisiana, and I’m glad to see our fellow Louisianian recognized on a national level for her years of hard work and dedication,” said Vitter.

Founded in 1940, Perez, APC is a 100% woman- and minority-owned firm specializing in architecture, design-building, construction, landscape architecture, planning, interior design, and real estate development, having secured contracts in regions across the country.

Last week, Vitter introduced a Senate Resolution recognizing May 1 through May 7, 2016 as “National Small Business Week.” National Small Business Week has been declared by every President since 1963. As Chairman of the Senate Small Business Committee, Vitter is committed to advocating for America’s small businesses, and is working to make sure that the voices and concerns of small business owners across the country are heard in Washington.
