Today, U.S. Sen. David Vitter (R-La.), Chairman of the Senate Committee on Small Business and Entrepreneurship (SBC), announced Central Crude of Lake Charles, La. as Small Business of the Week, and will be submitting it into the official Congressional Record.

“Louisiana is one of the top oil and natural gas producing states in the country with the industry providing countless good-paying jobs and economic opportunities across the Bayou State,” said Vitter. “Since 1974, Central Crude has provided Southwest Louisiana with quality oil and natural gas distribution services, keeping our industries moving and economies thriving. Congratulations to Central Crude for being selected as Small Business of the Week. I look forward to your continued growth and success.”

In 1974, Steve Jordan founded Central Crude with the goal of providing Southwest Louisiana crude oil and natural gas distribution services with the highest level of honesty, integrity, and reliability. With seven pipelines, a 260,000 barrel tank farm, rail and barge terminal, an extensive trucking division, and pipeline systems throughout South Louisiana, Crude Oil has grown to be the largest privately-owned crude oil purchaser in Louisiana.

As SBC Chairman, Vitter continues the tradition of honoring America’s small businesses and entrepreneurs.
