Today, U.S. Sen. David Vitter (R-La.), Chairman of the U.S. Senate Committee on Small Business and Entrepreneurship (SBC), announced Brain Freeze Snowballs of Broussard, La. as Small Business of the Week, and will be submitting it into the official Congressional Record.

“When it comes to starting and owning a small business, Louisianians are certainly known for their ingenuity and flair, which is exactly what can be said of Kristi and Colby Broussard, whose cheesecake-filled snowballs have become such a great success over the last 2 years,” said Vitter. “Since 2014, the Broussards and the Brain Freeze Snowballs team have been cooling off Southwest Louisiana with a fifty-year old family recipe. Congrats to Brain Freeze Snowballs on your great success, and I look forward to trying one of your famous cheesecake-filled treats the next time I am in SWLA!”

In 2014, Kristi and Colby Broussard opened Brain Freeze Snowballs with the goal of bringing their community the highest quality and most unique snowballs. Growing from a simple mobile food service trailer to become a popular local destination, Brain Freeze Snowballs now boasts both local and regional success, largely in part to their fifty-year old family recipe and their popular homemade cheesecake-filled snowballs. With these successes, Brain Freeze Snowballs is set to expand their business and will open a second location in a permanent building later this summer.

As SBC Chairman, Vitter continues the tradition of honoring America’s small businesses and entrepreneurs.
