U.S. Senator Jim Risch (R-ID), chairman of the Senate Committee on Small Business and Entrepreneurship, released the following statement regarding the Senate confirmation of Linda E. McMahon to serve as the Administrator of the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA). McMahon’s confirmation passed the full Senate by a vote of 81-19.
“Linda McMahon not only understands the challenges facing America’s small businesses, she has actually faced many of them herself as a business owner and CEO,” said Senator Risch. “For this reason, it is no surprise to see her confirmed today as Administrator of the SBA with such broad bipartisan support. I know Mrs. McMahon will work to administer the SBA’s programs and America’s tax dollars in an effective way, and in doing so, bolster the small business community that our economy relies on. I look forward to working with Mrs. McMahon in my capacity as chairman of the Small Business Committee, and have every confidence that she will successfully lead the SBA.”
