Washington, D.C. This week, U.S. Senator Marco Rubio (R-FL), Chairman of the Senate Committee on Small Business and Entrepreneurship, named Royal Furniture and Design of the Florida Keys as the U.S. Senate Small Business of the Week.

“As Chairman of the United States Senate Committee on Small Business and Entrepreneurship, it is my pleasure to honor Royal Furniture and Design of the Florida Keys as the Senate Small Business of the Week. Founded in 1984, Royal Furniture and Design has grown from a single retail store in Marathon, Florida to a full service home design and remodeling company with three Keys showrooms and a warehouse in Florida City. Owned and operated by the Elwell family, Royal Furniture and Design has served their community for decades. Following the devastation of Hurricane Irma, Royal Furniture served lunches in their parking lot to members of the community, opened up space in their building to store emergency supplies, and even provided families with new furniture. The Elwell family, and the entire team at Royal Furniture and Design, are an incredible example of a hard working small business that is always looking out for their community. It is my honor to name them as the Senate Small Business of the Week. I wish them nothing but success in their future endeavors.”

As Chairman of the Senate Committee on Small Business and Entrepreneurship, Senator Rubio continues the tradition of honoring America’s small businesses and entrepreneurs. The Senate Committee on Small Business and Entrepreneurship oversees proposed legislation on matters relating to the Small Business Administration and investigates all problems relating to America’s small businesses.
