A Flint-based nonprofit organization that helps veteran entrepreneurs start and grow businesses may be forced to close this summer due to drastic funding cuts.

U.S. Senators John Kerry, D-Mass., and Olympia J. Snowe, R-Maine, said in a news release Tuesday that the Senate small business and entrepreneurship committee is investigating the management at Veterans Corp. because less money is getting to local resource centers like VetBizCentral.
