U.S. Senator Jim Risch (R-ID), chairman of the Senate Committee on Small Business and Entrepreneurship, today chaired the nomination hearing to consider RADM Althea H. Coetzee to be Deputy Administrator of the Small Business Administration.

“Admiral Coetzee has a distinguished military career with several deployments on sea and land, including the Global War on Terrorism,” said Chairman Risch. “She is currently the Chief of Staff to the Undersecretary of Defense, Acquisitions, Technology and Logistics at the Department of Defense. In her civilian capacity she has held various management positions in the manufacturing industry and in 2005, started a small business called Quik Print. We’re glad to have someone with small business experience nominated for this important position at the SBA.”
