Today, U.S. Sen. David Vitter (R-La.), Chairman of the Senate Committee on Small Business and Entrepreneurship (SBC), announced Harlow’s Donuts and Bakery of Pineville, La. as Small Business of the Week, and will be submitting it into the official Congressional Record.

“In remembrance of Mr. Burr’s commitment to his community, I am honored to recognize Harlow’s Donut and Bakery as this week’s Small Business of the Week, and offer my prayers and condolences to the Burr family and Pineville community in their time of loss,” said Vitter.

In 1984 Roy W. Burr, Sr. purchased the successful and popular Harlow’s Donut and Bakery in Pineville, La. from the establishment’s original owner Frank Dyson. Considered a staple in their community, Harlow’s Donut and Bakery is known for their exceptional customer service and family-friendly atmosphere. Recognized as a Travelocity “Local Favorite” and “Big Find” in Louisiana, the family owned and operated business has enjoyed success since its original opening nearly forty-five years ago. Harlow’s owner, Roy W. Burr, Sr. passed away this week after serving his community for over 30 years.

As SBC Chairman, Vitter continues the tradition of honoring America’s small businesses and entrepreneurs.
