U.S. Sen. David Vitter (R-La.), Chairman of the Small Business & Entrepreneurship Committee, today congratulated the Louisiana winners of the 2015 National Small Business Week.
“It is my great honor to recognize Todd Matherne of Renaissance Publishing as Louisiana’s Small Business Person of the Year in 2015. Entrepreneurs like Todd are responsible for creating momentum that supports our local and national economies, and I am glad to see his hard work recognized,” said Vitter. “Additionally, it is certainly impressive to see the Louisiana Small Business Development Center at Southeastern Louisiana University selected out of over 1000 locations across the country as this year’s winner. Louisiana’s SBDC is a great example of how important these centers are to helping entrepreneurs, having created over 1,200 small businesses and nearly 8,000 jobs, which is a huge accomplishment.”
The U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) announced that Todd Matherne, CEO and Publisher of Renaissance Publishing, won as Louisiana’s 2015 Small Business Person of the Year, and is also in the running to be selected as the 2015 National Small Business Person of the Year.
