WASHINGTON – United States Senate Committee on Small Business and Entrepreneurship Chair Mary Landrieu, D-La., today announced changes to her Committee press team. Vicki Ekstrom will lead the press operations as Press Secretary and Richard Carbo will join the team as Deputy Press Secretary.

“I am excited to have Vicki and Richard leading the communications efforts on the Committee,” Chair Landrieu said. “They both understand the vital role our small firms are playing in revitalizing America’s economy. I look forward to working with them to carry out the aggressive agenda I have set forth for the Committee this Congress.”

Prior to working for the Committee, Ekstrom worked for the House Small Business Committee’s press office. She earned a Master of Sciences in Journalism from Boston University, during which she served as a Capitol Hill reporter for the Bangor Daily News. Ekstrom received her undergraduate degree in Communications from Boston College.
