Washington, D.C. — U.S. Senator Marco Rubio (R-FL), Chairman of the Senate Committee on Small Business and Entrepreneurship, named Tomato Express of Kissimmee, Florida as the U.S. Senate Small Business of the Week.

“As Chairman of the Senate Committee on Small Business and Entrepreneurship, each week I recognize one small business that exemplifies the unique American entrepreneurial spirit.

“And this week, it is my honor to highlight Tomato Express of Kissimmee, Florida, as the Senate Small Business of the Week.

“In November of 1991, the Siracuza family started Tomato Express as a small produce stand, selling locally sourced fruits and vegetables.

“Today, Tomato Express has grown into a local grocery store staple, offering foods from Central and South America with an emphasis on the Siracuza family’s native Argentinian cuisine.

“The Siracuza’s also believe that giving back to the community is essential.

“In 2016, Stella Siracuza was awarded the Compadre Award by the Hispanic Business Council of Osceola County, commemorating her dedication to the greater Hispanic community.

“I offer my sincere congratulations to the Siracuza family and the entire team at Tomato Express, and I look forward to watching your continued success and growth.”
