Small Businesses are in Danger of a Tax Increase under the Democrats’ Net Investment Income Tax (NIIT) Proposal

According to information gathered from the U.S. Census Bureau, the Congressional Democrat’s NIIT proposal will put an estimated 8,365,284 American small businesses in danger of a tax increase. Small businesses organized as S-Corps or Partnerships make up 64% of all small businesses in America and, if they have owners that meet the Democrats’ income threshold, will face a tax increase. Additionally, these endangered small businesses employ 62% of the small business workforce, or 76,251,996 employees.
