Today, U.S. Senator David Vitter (R-La.), Chairman of the Senate Committee on Small Business and Entrepreneurship (SBC), announced Manchac Technologies, L.L.C. of Alexandria, La. as Small Business of the Week, and will be submitting it into the official Congressional Record.

“Down in the Bayou State, entrepreneurs are leading the way in a field that most would associate with Silicon Valley – new technology, and Louisiana entrepreneurs are playing a major role in the nation’s ongoing efforts in technological advancements,” said Vitter. “Monroe Milton and the Manchac Technologies team are making pharmacies safer and more efficient in developing new technologies for retail and institutional pharmacies over the last ten years. Congratulations Manchac Technologies for being selected as Small Business of the Week, and thank you for your commitment to driving innovation and productivity for pharmacies over Louisiana and around the country.”

In 2006, Monroe Milton founded Manchac Technologies in Alexandria, La. with the goal of making pharmacies safer and more efficient. Today, Manchac offers many products that help pharmacies keep up with prescription demands and maintain regulatory compliance, including single dose automation systems, multi-dose animation, and blister cards. Their work has gained considerable attention, and Milton was honored as one of Central Louisiana’s “20 Under 40” Community Leaders in October 2015.

As SBC Chairman, Vitter continues the tradition of honoring America’s small businesses and entrepreneurs.
