WASHINGTON – On Friday, September 25, 2009, United States Senator Mary Landrieu, D-La., will chair a hearing of the Senate Committee on Small Business and Entrepreneurship in Galveston, Texas. The hearing comes a year after Hurricane Ike struck the city and will assess the response to the hurricane and steps to take moving forward.

Members of the Texas Congressional Delegation will join the Senator and representatives from the Small Business Administration (SBA), Housing and Urban Development (HUD) and the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) will testify at the field hearing, entitled “A year later: Lessons Learned and Progress Made After Hurricane Ike.”
