Today, U.S. Sen. David Vitter (R-Las.), Chairman of the Senate Committee on Small Business and Entrepreneurship (SBC), recognized Lucas Firmin Pools of Baton Rouge, La. as Small Business of the Week, and will be submitting a statement into the official Congressional Record.

“We in Louisiana are certainly familiar with the heat and humidity that comes with each summer. For two Baton Rouge natives, Lucas and Jenny Firmin took their love of swimming to launch their own small business of constructing pools and fountains for Louisiana YMCAs, family homes, and local residential communities,” said Vitter. “Congratulations to Lucas Firmin Pools for being recognized as Small Business of the Week, and I look forward to your continued growth and success.”

Established in 2008, Lucas Firmin Pools is run by Lucas and Jenny Firmin, both Baton Rouge natives. As a licensed commercial and residential contractor, Lucas has been working in the pool building industry since 2005. Lucas and his wife Jenny construct pools, fountains, and water features for residential homes, commercial buildings, as well as local YMCA facilities.

As Chairman of the Senate Small Business Committee, Vitter continues the years-long tradition of honoring America’s small businesses and entrepreneurs.
